Sum off 6 terms = 6/2(2a + 5d) = 42 Or, 6a + 15d = 42 (a + 9d)/(a + 29d) = 1/3 Or, 3a + 27d = a + 29d Or, 2a = 2d Or, a = d Using this, 6a + 15a = 42 Or, 21a = 42 Or, a = 2
