Metal spheres each of radius 2cm are packed into a rectangular box of internal dimensions 16cm×8cm×8cm.when 16 spheres are packed the box is filled with preservative liquid.find the volume of this liquid.Give your answer to the nearest integer.(use π = 3.14)

Volume of box = 16 X 8 X 8 = 1024 cubic cm Volume of a sphere = (4/3) pi X 2^3 = 32 cubic cm (approx) Volume of 16 spheres = 32 X 16 = 512 cubic cm Hence, volume of liquid = 1024 - 512 = 512 cubic cm
