The Snake and The Farmer
A snake was lurking around the door of a farmer’s house. The snake bit the farmer’s son and the boy died. The whole family was filled with deep sorrow. The farmer took out his weapon and ran after the snake to take revenge. The snake tried to hide under a bush. The farmer dealt a deadly blow on the snake but could only manage to chop off the tip of the tail of the snake. The farmer thought that it inauspicious to harm a snake so took some jiggery and honey to appease the snake. The snake hissed softly and said, “There is no use of offering these goodies to me. You will never forget the loss
