The Lady and Her Hen
A lady had a hen which was dutiful enough to lay one egg on each and every day. One egg was sufficient for the lady’s breakfast but she could not afford to feed her guests for the want of more eggs. Moreover, she wished to earn some money by selling eggs if there had been better output from the hen. The lady thought of some way to get better yield from the hen. She started giving more food to the hen in the hope of getting more number of eggs. The hen eventually grew so fat, that it altogether stopped laying eggs. The moral of the story is, “I you try to grab more than what you need then you end up losing what is in your hands”.
