The Water-Snake, The Viper And The Frogs
There was a viper which was always driven away by a water snake from the spring. Thus, the viper could not get enough water to drink. The water-snake claimed the spring as his territory. Finally, they decided to sort out the dispute by fighting it out. It was agreed that the winner would take both the water and the land. The frogs, always tormented by the water-snake, promised all the help to the viper, during the fight. When the fight started, the frogs did nothing but just kept on croaking. After lot of efforts, the viper could defeat the water-snake and came as the winner. But the viper was furious at frogs, which did nothing to help in the fight. The frogs said, “We were doing our best. We were cheering for you”. The story shows that words of motivation also have some effects.
