THE JACKDAW AND THE RAVENS
A jackdaw was bigger and healthier than the other jackdaws in the group. He became arrogant of his better built and started scorning his fellow jackdaws. He said, “It is below my dignity to live with you. I am going to live with the ravens which are equal to my status”. Initially, the ravens welcomed the jackdaw as they could not recognize that it was a jackdaw. In a couple of days when they heard the strange voice of the new bird, they attacked him and drove him away. Rejected by the ravens, the jackdaw returned to join his original group but the jackdaws refused to accept him as they were very angry. A person leaving his homeland is treated with contempt in the foreign land and when he tries to return is rejected by his own people.
