THE JACKDAW AND THE FIGS
There was a hungry jackdaw, roaming in search of food. The jackdaw perched on a fig tree. The figs were not ripe, so the crow decided to wait for their ripening. The jackdaw kept on waiting and thus the day advanced from morning to evening. A fox had been watching the jackdaw since the morning. When the fox came to know the reason for the waiting jackdaw, she laughed to her heart’s content. The fox gave and advice to the jackdaw, “It is foolish to wait for such expectations. You will starve to death, waiting for the fig to ripe. It is better to look for other available food”. Waiting too much for your expectations to get fulfilled and doing nothing is always a bad strategy.
