THE BIRD-CATCHER AND THE LARK
A bird-catcher was setting up traps for the birds. A lark was watching all these preparations. The lark asked the bird catcher, “What are you doing?” The bird catcher replied, “I am making a city.” The lark believed what the bird-catcher said. It flew down to eat the bait in the trap and was subsequently trapped. The bird catcher grabbed the lark and was putting it in a cage. The lark then said to the bird catcher, “I must tell you, you are not going to find many inhabitants for your planned city”. The moral of the story is, “When harsh people are in charge of households or cities, then most of the inhabitants are likely to desert the place”.
