Practical Geometry
Exercise 10.3
Question 1: Construct ΔDEF such that DE = 5 cm, DF = 3 cm and m∠EDF = 90°.
Answer: Draw a line DE = 5 cm.
Make a right angle at point D and draw DF = 3 cm.
Join the point E to point F to get the required triangle.

Question 2: Construct an isosceles triangle in which the length of each of its equal sides is 6.5 cm and the angle between them is 110°.

Answer: Draw a line AB = 6.5 cm.
Make an angle of 110° on point A.
Draw the line AC = 6.5 cm.
Join C to A; to get the required triangle.
Question 3: Construct ΔABC with BC = 6.5 cm, AC = 5 cm and m∠C = 60°.

Answer: Draw a line BC = 6.5 cm.
Make an angle of 60° on point C.
Draw the line AC = 5 cm.
Join the point C to point B; to get the required triangle.
