The Raven and The Swan
There was a raven; as black as coal. It was jealous of a swan which was as white as snow. The raven wanted to become as white as the swan. It thought that if it copied the lifestyle of the swan then it would turn as white as the swan. The raven started living near the marshes and started eating weeds. It kept diving and swimming all day long in the pond. In spite of all the bathing in water, the raven remained as black as it was. It could not become white. Moreover, it could not digest all those weeds. Finally, the raven fell sick and died. The moral of the story is, “a change of habit doesn’t alter one’s nature”.
