THE WOLVES, THE SHEEP AND THE RAM
The wolves once sent a message to the sheep. They offered to take an oath of everlasting peace if the sheep agreed to hand over the shepherd. The wolves said that it was because of the shepherd that there was enmity between them. The sheep are gullible creatures and hence they agreed to hand over the shepherd. An old ram was seeing all these developments. The ram said, “It is not a correct negotiation. How can we survive if don’t have the shepherd to guard us. Even when the shepherd keeps on watching, some of the sheep are regularly killed by the wolves”. The moral of the story is, “Don’t ever blindly accept the peace offer sent by an arch enemy”.
