THE WOLF AND THE NURSE
There was a rustic nurse. Her baby kept on crying. To stop the baby from crying, the nurse threatened the baby, “If you will not be quiet, I will throw you in front of a wolf”. A wolf heard the woman and took her words literally. The wolf then sat outside her house in the hope of being served a baby on platter. The morning turned into afternoon and finally the night came but the wolf had to remain hungry. Its mouth was gaping in anticipation. When the wolf reached home, his wife asked why he returned empty-handed. She was worried about the supper for her family. The wolf replied, “Because I believed the words of a woman”.
