THE EAGLE AND THE TORTOISE IN THE AIR
A tortoise was not too pleased with its slow moving life. It was unable to see the world as it wished. The tortoise wanted to see the whole world and wished it too had wings like birds. The tortoise was requesting to all and sundry to help it fly like a bird. An eagle was also hearing what the tortoise said. The eagle asked, “What would you give me, if I were to teach you how to fly?” The tortoise said, “I would give you precious corals and other gemstones from the sea”. The eagle lifted the tortoise and took it high in the air. When they reached above the clouds, the eagle dropped the tortoise. Instead of flying, the tortoise fell with a huge thud on a rocky mountain. It was shattered into pieces. If someone has problems in even moving on the ground, he should not wish for flying in the clouds.
